Feedback from coworkers

One of the main challenges of this project was the tight one-month deadline, which limited extensive user testing. However, I gathered valuable feedback from a group of co-workers. Their deep understanding of our users allowed them to provide insightful input, helping to refine my design decisions effectively.

What's not working?
  • Users can only input details for one artwork, with no option to add unique information for multiple pieces.

  • The "Save" and "Upload" buttons are hard to find and not placed in a logical flow.

Version 2
Key Updates
  • Moved "Save" and "Upload" buttons closer to the preview for better visibility and a smoother finalization process.

  • Removed creation options at the top to avoid redundancy and reduce clutter.

  • Moved the 3D model selection to the right preview section, allowing users to choose and see real-time updates once the feature is available.

  • Added 12 input sections so each artwork has its own details.

  • Added PDF upload functionality for items like exhibition catalogs.

07. Reflection

Takeaways
  • Effective communication and alignment were key

Our engineer was working remotely, so weekly meetings, daily updates, and structured planning were essential for maintaining clarity. Regular reviews and audit notes between our design work and the engineer’s implementation helped catch issues early and keep development on track.

  • Design Backed by Data

Using data to support design decisions helps bridge the gap when communicating with non-design professionals, making rationale clearer and discussions more objective.
